Today I am going to talk about the Professional brushes complete kit from Sigma ($89 with the brush roll $69 without) that I received few weeks ago. The set contains 12 brushes, 5 face brushes and 7 eye brushes), I was so excited because I don't own many quality brushes (I have had 2 brushes from MAC that I swapped because after reflexion $40 for a brush, that I didn't even know how to use correctly, was crazy for me at the moment...). But I know that good quality brushes are the best way to improve your make-up application, and I am all about improvement =)

Everything was nicely packaged...

...each brush was individually wrapped.

The quality of the brush roll is amazing it feels just like leather, I love it !

Sigma SS 150. This is a very dense powder brush perfect for an all over dusting of loose powder. It is soft but not the softest of the set.

Sigma SS 187. This duo fibre brush is so soft and feels amazing on the skin perfect for cream blushes or liquid foundation.

Sigma SS168. This angled brush is very soft perfect for contouring the cheeks or highlighting the cheekbones.

Sigma SS 190. This foundation brush is very soft and dense it feels fantastic on the skin perfect for liquid foundations.

Sigma SS 239. This is a very soft and flat all over lid eye brush perfect for applying lid color.

Sigma SS 275. This is an angled flat top eye brush it is very soft perfect to highlight the brow bones.

Sigma SS 219. This is a small lightly pointed eye brush perfect for the outer v section.

Sigma SS 224. This is a fluffy black brush with a rounded top perfect for blending.

Sigma SS 252. This is a shader brush with long bristles perfect for cream and powder eyeshadow

Sigma SS 194. This is a very soft small concealer brush perfect to cover blemishes and dark circles under the eyes.

Sigma SS 209. This is a thick eye liner brush But I mostly use it as a lip liner brush.

Sigma SS 266. This is a very precise liner brush perfect for cream eyeliners or brow powder.

My favorites brushes from the professional brushes complete kit are : SS 187 - SS 190 - SS 224 - SS 252 - SS 194 - SS 266
I couldn't compare these brushes to the MAC's ones, but I can compare the price:
MAC 150: $42
MAC 168: $32.50
MAC 187: $42
MAC 190: $32
MAC 194: $19
MAC 209: $17.50
MAC 219: $23
MAC 224: $28
MAC 239: $24.50
MAC 252: $29
MAC 266: $19.50
MAC 275: $25.50
= $334.5
Overall, I am really impressed with the quality and I would totally recommend this set to anyone. It's an excellent starting kit, because you have pretty much all the brushes you need for the eyes, cheeks, face and lips...

ReplyDelete<3 sigma brushes. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw a lot of mixed reviews about these brushes. Some folks on youtube didn't like the fact that Sigma used MAC id numbers. Others felt the brushes shed too much. I can't wait to hear your review.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. I have been debating for a long time about getting these.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you love the brushes!! I do prefer some MAC brushes over Sigma, but for the most part, the brushes are amazing!
