I hope everyone is doing fine. I am =). Few weeks ago I wanted to see if blue eyes could look good on me so I decided to try the most natural looking brand of colored contact lenses: Solotica I picked the Hidrocor type (no limbal ring) in the lightest color "Ice" I got them from www.lensmarketplace.com and it took about 2 week to arrive (I wanted lenses with prescription that's why it took a little bit longer)
And here are the pictures!!!!!!
I agree I look "freaky" and not so good with super light eyes lol, but I am very impressed ! the color blends really well and the result doesn't look fake at all. I am impressed.
The Solotica lenses come in two jars with a little case and a brochure. I couldn't see the lenses in the jars because they were completely WHITE (scary).

As you can see it looks also very natural under natural light
I think I look better with darker eyes I would never have thought this !!!!! What do you think? it's ok you can be honnest lol.
Overall I think these lenses are AMAZING! If you are looking for a dramatic change of color with the most natural results the SOLOTICA are what you need.
For the eyes makeup I simply used some greys from my 88 shimmery palette (eBay) , some Ardell Lashes and the Zero eyeliner from Urban Decay.
You look totally different. I bet you will start playing with your make up collection in a different way now with blue eyes. They are very natural and I like it :-).

ReplyDeleteI've got green eyes and I tried dark brown lenses, it looked awful, it was a very one dimensional colour so it looked like I had animal eyes...bleurgh! I always thought I'd look better with brown eyes too...

ReplyDeleteI got them in the colour Graphite, as I thought Ice would be too light for me. They look so natural and people often think they are my real eyes!
The blue looks beautiful! I do agree that darker eyes look better. It gives off an exotic feel. (At least that's what my husband tells me) :o)

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how contacts can totally change the way a person looks! You look like a different person lol I think your natural eye color looks the best but I must say these contacts are pretty good! I have been wearing contacts for 13 years and in all these years I've seen some really bad ones that look so cheap and fake. The ones you have look very natural! I think colored contacts are fun to wear, I wear my green ones daily and I love them :)

ReplyDeleteno, not freaky, so cool!! granted i don't think it's for daily use but great for a night out!! i wished i could still use color lens', i'm old and can't stand thick lenses on my eyes anymore (started using color contacts in the 7th grade...stopped a year after college) now i use the daily night and day contacts in clear (the ones you can sleep in for a month). again, i'm jealous you can wear these!!

ReplyDeleteI really like them on you. Considering on buying a pair myself. Do you like them despite the fake that they make you look, as you say "freaky"? That also is my main concern, I don;t wanna look like a weirdo. Do they look real natural in person...meaning can people tell you have colored contacts in? Also my eyes naturally or a blue hzel color, would you recommend the ice for me?

ReplyDeleteI think they look great on you (late comment, sorry !) I personally didn't like mine until I had them tinted. They do look good on you. I think Mel or Ocre would have been a better choice.Both would give you a very light eye (not that your eyes are really dark anyway) Ocre in particular would give you that icy sheen this color does, but they would blend insanely well with your natural eye color. Mel would be an exotic pale green shade and Ocre would be a very soft, pale beige shade on you.
